The celebration of Way Out West in Gothenburg, Sweden is a jam packed music festival. All music lover of different ages, genres and tastes must watch and celebrate of this occasion. However, there are rules and guidelines the Swedish Government imposed that is, it recommended a person under 13 years of age will not be exposed to the high-sound pressure levels that can be experienced at concerts and festivals. If your 13 years and below, you cannot attend this kind of festivities in Sweden. You must be over 13 years of age to attend Way Out West festivals. Also, the Stay Out West venues, you must be over 18 years of age to enter the place because it is strictly prohibited to minors to enter the building and bars where alcohol beverages is served.
Camping in the Slottsskogen Park is not allowed but if you need of living arrangements you can refer to Gothenburg’s existing selection of campsites and hotels. Anyone found in the festival site without an ID or wristband will be removed from the area. Suitable clothing must be observed because the weather might change anytime.
The festival observes and follows strict rules because the government and organizer of the event will be held liable if something happens from their audience and the artists. Discipline is a must because there are 117 artists and bands that will be performing during the event which is held in different venues. Artists will include Little Dragon, Motorhead, Icona Pop, Neko Case, Future, Sharon Van Etten, Blood Orange, Dawes, Bill Callahan, Conor Oberst and many more.
The festival not only focuses on music alone, but also in the film industry. Everything from feature films, documentaries, short films and other types of film making will be a showcase in the festival as well. So different filmmaker from novice to expert will be given a chance to showcase best in terms of film making, but of course, their films were prejudge already.
