Way Out West Shows

The Way Out West Band was originally named as Echo but later on changed to its current name which is derived from one of their popular remixes. They performed and produced together for over sixteen years and released their debut in 1997, the album named Blue released singles which are a reinterpretation of the song that came from the movie Withnail and I, Ajare, Domination and the song that hit the 15th spot at the UK top, The Gift. Their hit song The Gift sampled the cover version of Joanna Law which is the song entitled The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face.

In 2001, they released their second album with the title Intensify, this album marked their shift to Distinctive Records from the Deconstruction Records. Since then, their sounds changed to a combination of original songs and club tracks from sampled vocals and instrumentals. The singles of this album included the Mindcircus that hit at the 39th spot in the chart of the UK Singles and the worldwide hit in clubs, the Intensify. The song Activity is also part of this album which happens to appear in the PlayStation 2 game, the Kinetica.

In 2004, the band released their third album which is full length with the title Don’t Look Now, it featured the vocals of Omi in some tracks. The song Don’t Forget Me was featured in Grey’s Anatomy’s second season, the song Melt was included in The O.C. which played a dramatic appearance and their hit song, The Gift has been used for the MTV Show’s True Life as a title theme. The instrumental version of the Just Like A Man was part of the third season, episode 8 of the TV show CSI: Miami. Other songs of the band that made it to the limelight include the Anything But You which was featured in the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 video game and Killa featured in the Juiced video game.

In 2008, the Way Out West band contributed a song entitled Evelina to the charity of Survival International album, Songs for Survival.

Way Out West Shows

The fourth album of the band entitled We Love Machine was launched on October 5, 2009, for the first time it featured and collaborated with a male vocalist, Jonathan Mendelson. He sang the Only Love which was the first ever single of the album, it was followed by their second single the Future Perfect. The fourth album was released through Armada Music/Hope Recordings.
